Hi guys, I got myself a Z5. Camera needs some good update, it is not on par of the Lumia 930, my previous phone.
I posted some samples in the Esato gallery.
Congratulations!
Love that shot! The complexity of contrast with colour ... well captured very close to the human eye.
It's been a VERY long time since I've taken some great photos - the content and quality of images ... to be honest hasn't been since K750/W810i that I have!
I've ALWAYS had to deal with downward quality camera's in phones ... really crap ones! If not for prestine glass and free phones from wherever I've worked over the last 12yrs I'd have better quality of life and images of my son when he was younger.
This last photo Doministry is VERY inspiring! I'd like to see that photo with colour edit, hues, shades background images/people and how it illuminates their eyes.
If I'm correct in earning what I think I'm going to earn, this Friday the challenge between Z5 and Z5 Compact [E5823 for LTE 300MBps Download speeds] will be VERY tough!

Thanks.
The corridor is with some filters however the real image was also fantastic in colours...
Z5 in general is just amazing with colour reproduction.
I'm not sure what you mean writing about the last photo.
Just to clarify, it's a close image of a little lightbulb (very bright one) but with super low ISO and correct light metering.

What I meant is you have the lightbulb there:
have someone looking beyond it or into it with their face very close up (less than 3") and their eyeballs sort-of washed out or illuminated enough to cause a reflection of the bulb in their retina
Another possibility is to use paper machete (colored) to give a different shade of color imbued by the light. I'll have to ask you in a few short weeks how do I create ISO and correct light metering when I get mine. I still have a few days until I get the Z5/Z5C.

Well. It's a very tiny like 5cm lightbulb.
And it is very very bright. So there is no way I could do any reflection on it.
What you see is unreal - the ISO and light metering makes it quite dark.
In reality you can't even look at it.

Can anyone tell me if ANY of the Xperia Z5 series support Sony's Bluetooth LDAC codec?
I'm about to buy a soundbar from Sony and I MUST have this for best audio quality over bluetooth.
This A2DP, the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile, has been with us nearly a decade. Before that, the only way to send audio was through a ‘voice layer’ designed for headsets and speech, and that had a throughput of only 64kbps. The rest of Bluetooth was a ‘data layer’, so to improve audio quality (and make it stereo), A2DP was designed to grab some of the additional available data bit-rate and use it for music.
There is also AVRCP (the Audio/Video Remote Control Profile), which runs alongside to allow control data – such as sending back volume and track change commands from your headphones.
How high a bit-rate could A2DP commandeer from the data pool in this way? For 48kHz sampling, the maximum available is 345kbps. For 44.1kHz sampling, it’s 328kbps. Since uncompressed CD quality runs at 1411kbps, this was clearly too slow for full CD quality without compression.
aptX
Various audio codecs can be used within the Bluetooth A2DP profile. The mandatory one is SBC (the Sub-Band Codec), which supports mono and stereo streams at various certain sampling frequencies up to 48kHz.
We regularly see aptX publicised as “CD-quality” — but it is not, since it is limited to 328kbps under the A2DP profile, although it is often quoted as achieving 384kbps. Taking into account around 50% lossless compression, aptX still has only about half the bit-rate required to reconstruct CD quality, so “near CD quality” is a reasonable description; we find it comparable to 320kbps AAC or MP3 files.
