So many posts. Anyway. Why would you want global shutter in a phone? I get the speed thing but if it's not professional or industrial then it's kinda overkill.
Just watched pro's disassembly. It doesn't have the linear vibration motor. People were complaining about 1&5 vibration but they have that motor.
WHERE ARE XJ, ALVIN AND ESPECIALLY TONY? Did Sony decide to release everything in September? No fun code cracking this year. 😔

They probably could implement it but I don't believe execution will be good enough so that you get all the benefits and no compromises. Rolling shutter artifacts are not that big of a deal on mobile video but I could see Sony trying to push the envelope so just they could say they did it. Even on professional digital video cameras back in the day the only problem I had with rolling shutter was the flickering lights that would be split on the frame but hey even back then there were software solutions to band aid such occurrence.

At this point it's a guessing game. Who knows, maybe people at Sony were also flip flopping when to do the online event.
If we assume that at least 10III will be released in mid or by the end of May then announcement could be by the end of the April? Right? But who knows if manufacturing is on time as well, maybe that's also postponed due to whatever component not being available. Too many variables at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony does the reveal one day before device will be available for sale but at least that would guarantee huge online leak before the event.
With Sony you never know, they went from being a company that never updates their phones to a company that had the world's first out of box devices with the newest Android version and then they became a company that has just an OK upgrade release timeline.
