Maybe they thought that you wouldn't need to connect the s700 to your car stereo and home stereo. being that your car stereo's radio and CD changer (or your home entertainment) would be much better than music from a phone.

yeah and a discman must be much better than music from a phone and a digital camera better than a phone camera, i don't understand why don't they remove all mp3, video, camera and pda features from phones...

i too think se are being just stupid for not including a 2.5 jack in this phone, sure i can see why they didn't do it in k700, i really hope that they will put in a 2.5 mm jack in p1000 or something like that, i think the stereo headsets connect the same way as the ones in k700 (actually i think the headphones are the same because of the built in antenna....)

I also really don't understand the reason why they don't include a normal 2,5 inch plug. The headsets they use aren't made for music and they just don't sound good. I want to use a headphone of my own choice.
The strange thing is that the SO505is features a special connector onto which you can connect a remote.
The remote has a normal 2,5 inch plug. Take a look

my mate has on his ngage (much to my disapproval

funny bit from dumb and dumber where jim go's:

he has it as his ringtone it is proper class when were on the bus and its all queit and all you can hear is jims funny voiice then a sqwaking sound it is so funny.
