The white paper says so. However, at delivery the unit already has a hard to see shutter proof sheet (removable if you don't want it) put on top of the mineral glass, so no need for additional invisble shield.

apparently there is a scratch resistant coating... but i'd want to put on a screen protector regardless. that's just me though
and if you're good you can apply it with no bubbles.
