SE Fan, wow, u had gone thru teh whole CNET reviews at one go? i had been following for quite a while but no updated reviews so far, probably old model liao,hehe...probably u notice someone very free and kept answering the questions there with a nick ' SE Professional', kekekke

1. Reception, i found it relatively good with any service providers, it actually depends on ur network coverage rather than the phone itself, but do take note: do not cover up the antenna area when calling, it's the same with all built in antenna's phone...anyway this is stated inside the manual

2. menu response, the newest firmware R7B, not tried it out myself yet, but i'm having R7A_013, the menu speed is much improved compared with the older firmwares, but still cant compare to nokia's speed, but hey, i can wait for half a second to change from one menu to another, so not a problemfor me

3. yes! This is where the real pain is..scrolling thru the menu with a lag of 0.5 secs is of no problem for me...but the real problem occurs during the sms....if every alphabets takes u 0.5secs lag then u will be surely pissed off during the whole sms typing, well....we are used to the slow sms already, think u will need maybe a week or two to degrade ur central nervous response to match the phone.. if u are in a speedmaster challenge...u wont stand a chance using the T68i, but if u are not in a hurry, it's a good time to train ur patience

4. Moisture depends on ur environment, Nokia's housing is interchangeable even by owners, exposing most of the internal parts to the external environment, i dun see any reason moisture can get into the T68i more easily than other brands. About dust, the housing is sealed tight with screws, dust wont accumulate inside the screen that easily, sometimes (very rare) the keypad might get dirty, take it to a service centre and sevicing is free for warranty sets

5. Newspapers have it that T610 might be RM2710, but we doubt the accuracy of that estimated price, a more possible and reasonable price will be around RM2.2k, but no confirmation yet by SE, it's still a wild guess

Thanks veon18 for the reply. Yeap, I have finished 400+- CNet user opinion. Saw SE Professional there too, my guess is he/she is a Malaysian? (Don't tell me that's you!)

I have also almost going to finish 187 pages of this thread, still have 50 pages to go. I am crazy, but just don't want to buy the wrong phone!

1. Reception, not to worry at all.
2. Menu response, don't think it is a problem as the video clip from Omega-Network seems to be fine.
3. Okay, SMS speed, still a pain. Even with T9 *off*, will the speed improve noticeably? I will be using iPAQ to write SMS, but I don't think I will bring it all the time as compare to the smaller handphone.
4. Moisture and dust are not a problem now.

Thanks for clearing my doubts.

For everyone's information. A guy in the other forum claimed he played with a prototype(don't think it was in Singapore) of T610 before and the launching price will be either RM1599 or RM1699.

How much is EricServe selling T68i now? Is it better to get straight from them or Southall? I don't quite sure the route to Amcorp Mall.
