I don't think that $1000 is plausible for any Don't device at the moment, maximum is $850 I guess and it should really really be one of it's kind...

yes prototypes are usually one off devices and a lot more expensive, but this is Sony we are talking about, a company that retails a Walkman for 1200 euros.
As for the camera sample, it might be real or might not, yes exif data can be faked but still would be nice to see full res original. Besides, anyone can post a small photo and claim it is from Z5.
