Brymm I love U too.
I finally tried out browsing the web with MTN WAP this afternoon after one month of anxious waiting. Quite frankly, apart from the fact that it is still "free", it has been a major disappointment so far.
To get connected takes a lot of tries. Once u get lucky, it is difficult to "browse" from page to page without several re-tries. Something is not right.
I got a link to the Opera Mini site but downloading is another matter. WHO WILL PAY FOR THIS?????
For me, the main attraction is using my phone as a modem to browse the WWW with my PC. I will PM my questions to U Guys. Bennie lives in Abuja ko? Hmmm.

Okay guys, its time for you to tell me "WE TOLD YOU SO!!!"
My 15-day free browsing on Starcomms ended the day before yesterday, and I made the payment yesterday so I could continue to enjoy stress-free browsing. Unfortunately, it was as if they were just waiting for me to hand over my money to them!
From this morning, the thing no browse again o!!!. I have called Starcomms data support 10,000 times, and all they did was walk me through processes i had already gone through (its hard for these guys to just accept that there are people out here who know these things
better than they do, you know).
Till now, still no show. Ok, say it. I know you are itching to say it: WE TOLD YOU SO!. Yeah, yeah.
Okay. Who wants to throw the first pot?

I have already read Starcomms the riot act. One of Dad's friends also has told me of her ongoing ordeal in the hands of Starcomms.
Oh well, at least I enjoyed 15 days awoof.

@AYA, how come it worked so well wn it was free and now that u're paying for it, it's becoming hopeless? It's amazing the way Nigerians run business.

@AYA, it's very difficult to trace data problems with CDMA, all you need do is find out whether the data is restricted or your extra initialization command has changed under your plone & modem settings.
i use multilinks & these things happen when your account balance is below =N=500.
i see no reason why the service should go bad just when you're now starting to pay..
@Coola, have you tried Vmobile wap in Abuja?

@mamba: You should know me enough by now. I have gone through the settings and NOTHING has changed in the settings on my laptop or phone. The trouble is from their end.
