Yes, I am looking forward to the Beijing event. So far, there had not been any samples of the XZ2P's camera other than the official photos and videos. I would really like to see the camera in action in real life situations, if its really enough to compensate the lack of OIS.

If the camera is as good as promised, even with all the flows, this is my next phone. I can't wait for IFA as my Z5P needs replacement yesterday. I would have gotten the XZP few months ago if I weren't waiting for what's next. Otherwise, if the camera is not that good, I will settle for XZP and save my money for the next one.

2.5 hours until the Beijing event. Hopefully we'll get some answers about the quality of the camera there. I'd love to stay awake for it, but the event goes from 2:00am to 5:00am for me, so I'll probably be asleep.

So, after that, the promo videos will be uploaded, not unlisted like right now?

Actually the monochrome sensor of XZ2P isnt exactly IMX380 but an specialized version for it. It also come with PDAF and built-in EIS on the sensor like the main IMX400 one.
And the real maximum ISO value of both sensors are much higher, very high, 51.200 just an maximum "official" number that can be used without any great quality degration effect. U can expect over 150.000 ISO if Sony unlocked it....Huawei come with 102.400 ISO simply because they are confident to control the noise from it...also spec bragging right...

I suspected that was the case. It would make no sense for Sony to advertise the maximum possible iso of the sensors yet still claim it will produce a noise free image.
Haven't heard anything about this Beijing event, and if I'm not mistaken it was supposed to start over an hour ago. Was info on the event false?

Wow! My insider also said that this year, the true flagship Xperia XZ3 Pro Ultra Ultimate will have 7" 8K display, with 200% stbr. True XR5 insider info.

That was the case. The IMX220 and IMX300 in the past were able to achieve 25600 ISO when using non-Sony software.....
