It has been said 1000x in this thread why there is such a need for a new fw...
Yes, for instance: java games and applications is impossible to run on my phone. Besides that i , off course, have the EQ-memory settings issue. I'd say not able to run java at all is a major issue!

The volume-button problem is also a major problem.

Yeah true. Honestly plankgatan, not everyone is as lucky as you and everyone's phone seems to be different in some way. So you can't really say theres no major problems with the K850i, just because there are no major problems with your own.

icic but the picture wasnt able to b edit by photoDJ
so i still cant do anything about it
another problem is the pictures sorting in Media > Photo > Pictures
after i del those 14 pics, 4 of them are part of the fone so dont want to touch them, so i del 10 pictures... but when i load the pictures bak to picture folder 2 of my pictures appears Media > Photo > Pictures...then when i exit media and go bak in again under Media > Photo > Pictures shows 14 pics agian...
why this keep happening??
1> Copy the photos back to your PC.
2> Check the properties and its Summary Comments! Also check for any Meta tags on them ... if you're using Vista & After originally saving these photos if edited there or indexed possibly the root of the issue?
3> check also any photos in the Phone Album & Card Album once you saved to the PC/Mac then Completely purge them from the phone & card via PC/Mac.
4> Use PC Suite to sync your items. FORMAT your card. I think its an oddity with miss handled ablum art photos. Media Player 11 on WinXP SP2 also duplicates (but in Hidden properties state) in the MyMusic folder. This also copy's to my K790a' M2 card as well. Very annoying.
I hope this helps.
Guys just keep patience. The K800/790 also had MAD issues. To highlight is the following. (note: K850i is a new platform, while the K800 was not).

R1JE001

Improvements
- 3's Instant Viewer (Settings > General > Instant Viewer) application, displaying adverts on the Standby Screen, has now been removed from the firmware.
R1JC002
- Released on Wotan on 29/1/07
- Released on FOTA on 20/2/2007
Bug fixes
- Video preview no longer crashes the phone
- Jangler and Alien Noise MP3s now play with this firmware.
- Some message dialogs, e.g. the remaining credit dialog for PAYG phones, now has a semi-transparent background much like the notes dialog.
New Bugs
User Interface
- SVG files can no longer be viewed from File Manager.
- The top left button on the phone, which previously allowed you to display the previous picture whilst viewing photos in landscape mode, no longer performs this function. The top right button still displays the next picture.
FIRST RELEASE K800i Firmwares ...
R1CF001
- T-Mobile specific release.

- Background noise in the radio fixed.
R1CE001

R1CB001
- First release
K790 Firmware
R1EG001
- Equivalent to R1ED001
R1CC003
- First release. Equivalent to R1CB001
Bugs
User Interface
- Occasional screen corruption, most notably a line on the screen during video recording, but also slight corruption when navigating through menus.
- Opera Mini does not display the 'connect to the internet' dialog. Performing a Resume of Opera through the activity menu will display the dialog and allow the user to select 'Yes'.
- The Call Log can sometimes stop working. Deleting the entries in the call log has been known to restore it's functionality.
- Plugging in headphones whilst watching a movie causes the screen to go into standby mode. Pausing the movie before plugging them in bypasses the problem.
- Chinese firmware only - Changing the settings to display a large clock (Settings / Display / Clock Size / Large) causes an extremely small clock to be displayed when using a 24 hour clock. The clock displays correctly when using the 12 hour am/pm time format.
- Whilst in the Main Menu, if you select a menu item with the keypad (e.g. 7 for the file manager) and then hit Back to go back to the Main Menu, the selected menu item will be highlighted but the title will be incorrect (it will display the name of the previous menu item selected)
- The text searching feature in the File Manager does not work. This menu should really use 1-9 to select a specific menu item rather than doing a rather pointless text search on the 9 menu items.
- Many 'Press Ok' dialog boxes throughout the phone are displayed for such a short period of time that their inclusion leads to the user selecting an unwanted menu option rather than selecting Ok. Such dialogs should be removed.
- Selecting 'Settings / Calls / Manage Calls / Accept Calls / Only from list' only blocks those calls whose number is present in the phonebook. All unknown numbers are automatically accepted.
- The total call time in the Service Menu / Service Tests / Total Call Time does not match the time in Settings / Calls / Time & cost / Call timers.
- Previewing MMSes with Video often fails to play the audio.
- Changing between full-screen and Landscape while watching a paused video resets the timer to 00:00 until the video is unpaused.
- The RSS icon always appears after rebooting the phone until the user enters the Messaging / RSS Reader menu.

I've had my k850 since 029, then 037 & now 038 (i'm o2UK).
Found each one has its pros and cons.
029 In my opinion took the best pics at night and day, cudnt get a blurred pic no matter how hard I tried (yes I tried to get a blurred pic, leavin everyfin in auto, how sad) and no flash burn, but it wasn't as stable and had lots of other bugs.
037 improved the stability but I seemed to get flash burn on close pics at night.
038 brought in a few nice options, like ways to sort the inbox/sentbox, amount of details of messages shown in the inbox/homescreen and didn't have to worry about the screensaver coming on when using the gallery mode on side of phone cuz it doesn't freeze it. But the battery life is a considerable downfall.
I remember when I changed from my n95 (1day battery life) to the k850 I was most impressed with the battery life, used to get days from it, 3 or 4 with heavy txt use and a fair few photos and calls. At this very moment it's got 14% left and it came off charge at 100% 36hours ago.
So what I'd like from a firmware update is ... (u may not agree with me on the first one) . .
A camera like 029
Battery life of anything but 038
And a general speed improvement. When texting or browsing through the menu's things are never as fast as I feel they should be. Still way better than the old n95.
Sorry for my babbling

funny.
My EQ settings remain there (I'm on 037) Its just that whenever I exit my media player and On again it returns to Megabass.
But my last settings remain there, I just have to go to manual settings again, but I don't have to change it again.
Did anyone say that R1EA031 is fake? Or just won't come any sooner?

do you guys think once every two days is good with those kind of usage??

Fortunately those bugs experienced on the K800i were not that major - although to me a while ago when it first came out, the call log bug and occasional restarts were the most irritating.
I guess compared to this, take a look at the bug list of the K850i... pretty much related to accessories, but some key functions of the phone are lacking.. ie. the volume control, and moreover the mechanical problems experienced make the phone in general "unpleasant".
