The customers might get bored, especially in the high-end segment. I'd love to see Sony being creative again... but so far, they once again failed to deliver it this year.
Maybe next year will be different, but I don't want to wait for another year and getting my hope crushed again....

Heh... I don't know if it was Z5 compact or not but it is not M5 for sure.
The LED flash of M5 was a bit far from camera sensor.

I talked about this in previous post, Sony has similar design cycle to major players ( 2 ~ 3 years ), the problem is they have more products with the same design, and two flagships per year, making more devices looks the same for most peoples...

, Htc same, so what do you want? Noone can tell me the first Z and Z3+ are the same. It evolved quite nice. Only problem is the 6 month release cycle. Sorry but you can't change your design every year. Sony is by far the most elegant handpiece in the Android market. If that silver Z5+ is real, the only phone that can compete with it is the iphone in the looks department. Don't be hard on Sony.

What I want to see is replacement battery covers in different materials.
I am so tempted to get a Xiaomi Note simply because I can have it with a bamboo back cover. The oneplus 2 also have different back cover options. I'd forego water resistance for such a thing if I had to. But I don't want stick-ons or shells. it has to be the naked phone but wood.

That's cool and all, but Metal is the best Material for heat dissipation. Wood, ceramics and plastics would just contain the heat within the phone, making it feel hot. Metal too will warm up, but it's high thermal conductivity will also mean it'll cool down faster and thus draw hest away from hot components
