@cool: welcome to the club. Congrats indeed. I went to bed all night, as I have been doing for some time now on the recommendation of the medics (and my wife of course!). They say its good for my health. I decided I wont wait for them to tell me TOLD YOU SO in another 20 years

I left the conection "on" and went to bed. I just came back to see most of my downloads were completed AND I was still connected. Aint that something.
As for being around more often.... well I still have to do my "spiritual exercises" and relax a bit (for example, I am yet to watch the 2 films I got from the Video Club yesterday because of this! Films: Sin City and Bewitched).
But browsing on the 'net for free is a great experience. I hope I won't be penalised for hogging the channel eh? But how many ppl even are doing it this way?
My prayer is that AYA doesn't ditch Starcomms, come back to MTN GPRS and boot me off!!

@Angel My Sis, U better not give up. Browsing the web is soooo much better than the WAP wahala. My infra-red dongle connects to the USB port. Why not get that and leave the serial port alone?

@mamba: For geeks like you and I, bluetooth via dongle may be an option. With the experiences I have had with setting up a connection via BT dongle, it may be better if angel left BT alone.
Nope; Starcomms still not connecting.

@AYA: I learnt about interfacing my T610 with a pc by infrared [skipping the cable alternative] right here at Esato 2 yrs back. Sooner I progressed to BT interconnectivity and now Wi-Mi. So pls encourage Angel to use the best connection...all she needs is a detailed step by step guidance from y'all.

Are we talking tech or ease-of-use? I say she goes for easy installation. Then ask for help in the more complex Dialup setup process. Believe me, shes gonna need it!
But then My suggestion was that she use the usb port and forget the serial port. She can use a serial-usb adapter. Win XP should have all the drivers and simplify things.
