It will be March or more likely April until ICS comes to the Arc. I know SEMC have been among the fastest OEMs to update their Android system but this is just too much.

I will be interested to see to what extent Sony packs its Android version with bloatware but such a delay (will be 5 months between ICS launch and SEMC adoption on Arc?) will ensure my next phone is a Nexus.

So apparently the new stock ICS fw will use the current (old) kernel.

I read though that the ICS web browser is awesomely fast (3x faster!) and more fuctional and it's largely down to the section of the kernel that's been written for it. I wonder where the SE stock ICS rom stands with this..

anybody know of any good audio player. The standard audio player is not good, I think SE should've integrated the TrackId inside the player so that we could be able to get more information added to the song being played like Album cover, Artist info, lyrics etc.

They pulled a similar stunt with the X10 when going from 2.1 to 2.3.3, kept same kernel AFAIK, worked out fine though.

How does DLNA work and what do i need?

Will it be the same as using the HDMI cable? (displaying everything realtime) or just video/pictures?

Do i connect it to my reciver or my tv?

I want to mainly stream music from spotify (running on the mobile) the apps on market to remotly use PC-spotify are kinda crapy (using my HTPC running win7 with 2 users, XBMC and a RDP logged in one running spotify) Meaning the image displayed on my tv is the XBMC user, spotify running hidded on the second user and are able to play sound when i dont use the soundcard in XBMC.

I do have BT on my HTPC but the range is crap due to that the MotherBoard has the dongle in the back. WIFI is much better (or is there any app that can transfer sound thrugh WIFI?) that will do the trick to.

Just a Snapshot of my livingroom (a few months old, i do have some flowers now)

A couple of days ago my arc started randomly rebooting, often after just waking up and sliding to ublock. I had just installed a number of app updates including the new google maps. I have reinstalled firmware but the problem remains after this. Very odd. Does anyone have a similar problem or know how to sort it out? Is it a hardware fault?

Never, lol. The most stable device I've had so far, with the latest FW no single random reboot.
I reboot it manually every 20 days or so..
