What zomg said about aperture priority mode makes absolutely no sense because it's not possible unless there's aperture blades in the Z1's G Lens, which doesn't seem like there is any. What aperture priority is, it allows one to set the aperture value and let the software take care of the rest, though you can mess with exposure, ISO, and white balance. Which is essentially what our current manual mode is doing since we can't stop down from the fixed F2.0. So yeah, everyone, do not get your hopes up with Aperture priority mode, since we kind of already have it.

So with that one, Sony could also do what the Nokia Refocus app can? I'm looking forward to it!

I'm getting one on November now, i'll just wait for Sony Mobile PH to step down a little for me to reach the price (maybe 35k if they can).

Well that's a great one for sure, but I'm much more excited for the whole changes in the camera ecosystem.

How about the Landscape scene? On this one, the aperture should be lower since it needs background and foreground avoid the blur. What is the aperture value for the Landscape mode on Z1?

you can't control the size of the aperture opening without the existence of aperture blades.

i'd like to know if the Z1 camera module has aperture blades or not.

if it doesn't then it is fixed f2.0 and there's nothing software can do to thcnage that.

@rency - it's fixed at 2.0 . none of my photos have a different aperture. which probably means there are no aperture blades to allow for adjusting it. otherwise, the auto settings would do this for us and we would see different aperture settings in EXIF.

The ONLY thing that's missing is for the screen to stay ON while charging. I'm not sure why that setting isn't in the Z1 as it was on my XS :/ If anyone can figure that out, let me know.

I think you can set the Z1 behavior when sitting in a dock, wihin SmartConnect : http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/software/smart-connect/

BTW: Thanks for the tip of the Ultra Pod! Might be worthwhile looking into in combination with the SmartWatch 2 also. If you can provide the links, it is well appreciated!
