looks like this version was a quick fix, too quick as you ask me. i used to tap on the smpro icon to get the menu up, run a cleanup and then click on the background app to close the menu. there is no way of doing that now, cfs added a new link to close the menu now, which is really annoying.

We don't like it either, but for now that was the only way of solving the problem of not displaying the menu at all on the new firmwares. You can also close the task menu with the Back key, or when SMP is in the foreground, the usual way.

Iyad, SMP hasn't Autostarted for ages. This is a Symbian issue not a CellPhoneSoft one and has been mentioned over and over again.

To be very exact, it is a combined issue caused by SE's security paranoia and our reluctance to participate in Symbian Signed.

@lisa,
smp, super software..
in the new update, smp seems to be running invisibly in the bkgd...
i have it set to close apps on flip close, which is does wonderfully but when i click task mgr i can't see smp in the menu of open programmes...
is this a new element with the new update?
thanks...

To see SMP in the Task Manager, uncheck the Resist exit requests setting of SMP. Drawback is that the operating system will kill SMP if memory gets low.

Hi Lisa,
