Thank you for pointing that out again, and again, and again. Every posts shows how completely incoherent, baseless and well useless his arguments are. Thank goodness he doesn't work for my company. With competence like his, we would be out of biz in a day.

of course you can have without optical zoom (but see how its looks then). you gets a lot better quality with optical zoom when you video recording.

sometimes i cant explain exectley what i want to say (i can do it on swedish, but it dont helps so much, he he). maybe i should write "its better" instead of "demands".

edit. you know as well as me, that you really need optical zoom to get good video recording.

no you dont, you need optical zoom to get good video recording only when you're zooming.
and i'm not saying SE should go out and put a 2MP video recording camera on their phones, QVGA res wont kill them

@Max

SE did have a lead in camera phones but Nokia has not stood still and done nothing they have continued to improve their products. They have another coming later this Year and this time with Xenon flash to. Also Nokia may not make such a big deal of their Music player but speak to people that know about such things and they will tell you the quality from most if not all of the top end devices is every bit as good as a Walkman phone if not better.

It really doesn't matter how many times any of you say well SE could do it and equip their devices with this or that technology the simple fact is they haven't bar one device the Z???. The T650 is a new device but the K810 is only a newly housed K800 with a few tweaks and the P1 is just a M600 evolution and has no new tech standards in it either, same chip graphics and bands just with the Cybershot camera and WiFi b plus the extra needed Ram.

Have you seen the pictures taken with the E90 camera which is producing some really good results and just look at the tech in that device. Even look at the yet to be officially announced N81/N82 that is what upgrading previous models is about not just changing the housing.

Hopefully the rumoured next announcement form SE later this month will bring something new and interesting, i really do hope so.

Marc

Exactly right. This has been one of the complaints from the SE camp for a while. I am not sure why they feel it is not necessary. Maybe, and this is a SWAG on my part, they feel that it would compete against their (they being Sony) digital cameras.

but please, do you really think thats optical lenses just improve the zoom !

of course you got better video quality (zoom or not) if you have "pure" optical lenses .
