thanx for the videos
so i compared them to my c510 videos and i can say that the quality is almost the same which is quite a pitty as c510 is 3.2mp and c901 has 5mp camera module which should give better quality videos. however maybe further updates or modifications of camdriver could result in better video quality...
thesun if i get c901 in the end when it comes to UK i'll flood this forum with pictures

Do you know when it is meant to be coming to the UK? I know the release date is september, but there is only a few days of september left....

c510 Total bitrate ~ 70-90kbps more than c901
mind you that c510 had Code's modded camdriver with probably increased video bitrate but then it means that c901 is not using it's full potential and having sensor miles ahead of c510 should give results way better than this... so i think if in the future modders would like to have a look into inproving video mode i think much better results could be achieved...

I got a C702, which i think performs similarly to C501 apart from the different position of the LED..
For me, C901 take better video especially in lowlight due to bigger aperture,..
Also due to bigger aperture, C901 has more capability taking more details when there is backlight source,
for example when you take a video of a backlit-curtain in the afternoon,
if you take it with C702, the phone will adjust itself so that more details of the backlight are taken care but the surrounding will get darker.. (sometimes until the curtain color become as dark as black)
with C901, it will also adjust itself, but only a little amount is needed, and both surrounding and backlit area details well preserved compared to C702.
At this rate, even with the use of spot metering will not help.
Picture related, just imagine if it is in video mode, it'll get worst than this.

yes, all auto settings including white balance.

Had my C901 for 3 days now
and i'm liking it a lot. The keypad is great for one thing. Soon as I get chance i'll be posting some pictures up as well.
