@falconerhun,
thanks for your tutorial. It will be added in the next version
@loveynn,
Regarding iPod touch volume modding, have you tried
this one? It's for iPhone, though...

@Hiron let me explain what i mean
i'll take one line to use as example:
0;-14;14;1989;0;6B231A90;7FFF67D3;0;0;4;07FF;0;
X;4D;4D;4D;4D;7F;4D;4D;4D
The "X" with 0 value will not be recognized as it should be.
The rest of the line is for volume steps(in megabass phones only).
But this just will work if the "X" are 1,understand?
Turning off that steps the phone will just recognize the dB gain (in this case 14,in the third column).
Unfortunately this works like that
Thanks and excellent work,like always!.
I thought the X value that you mention controls the DRC boost? 0 means turned off and 1 means boosted?
The algorithm that I would try to explain below only valid for a phones that doesn't has Clear Audio experience (but has csv)...
0;
-14;14;1989;0;6B231A90;7FFF67D3;0;0;4;07FF;0;
0;4D;4D;4D;4D;7F;4D;4D;4D
The second column (-14 value) is a master preamp volume control (in dB). 0 means the volume had been untouched, while -14 means that the volume is lowered by 14dB... It needed to makes an equalizer doesn't sound distorted.
The third column (+14 value) means a maximum equalizer gain that is permitted. Set it to 0 and turn on the phone, set to MegaBass and you would not notice any difference compared with Flat equalizer

I set it to +14dB since MegaBass is 14 0 0 0 3. However, max 3 bar in Clear Audio phones is +9dB (3dB in each bar).
If you set it to +5 and you use max 8 bar in your phone, it will be ignored and +5dB will be used instead.
That's why I set 2nd and 3rd column to -14 and +14, because if it is -10 and +14 and you set MegaBass eq, the volume will clip to +4dB and distortion happens. (clipping happens when the sound signals comes above 0dB) That is the same way when you set a preamp eq in your music player to prevent distortion
Now about the X value... 0 means untouched...
But 1 means it will be DRC boosted by 6dB...
Why 6dB?
Look at HK TX value from original phf_2_play.wbxml in W995:
There are 6 region, from lowest to highest frequency gain:
86 - 80 = 6
B6 - B0 = 6
CA - C4 = 6
D4 - CE = 6
DE - D8 = 6
FD - F7 = 6
So if you want it to be +8dB instead of +6dB, the syntax of HK TX would be:
80 88 B0 B8 C4 CC CE D6 D8 F0 F7 FF (we just raised the upper value by +2)
To prove it, use these two lines in csv (bolded part is the only differences):
0;-14;14;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;
0;53;52;52;52;7F;4F;54;55
0;-14;14;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;
1;53;52;52;52;7F;4F;54;55
And you will notice that seconds line is 6dB louder but also distortion happens because of clipping.
So we need to lower the preamp to prevent it. Both of these lines have the same loudness:
0;
-14;14;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;
0;53;52;52;52;7F;4F;54;55
0;
-20;14;7FFF;0;0;0;0;0;0;7FFF;0;
1;53;52;52;52;7F;4F;54;55
That's it. -20 + 14 = -6dB and it leaves the rooms for DRC boost by 6dB...
That's all. Since I want to leave the sound as it is, I turned off the DRC booster
Remember, all of this explanation only valid for non Clear-Audio phones. Clear Audio phones has an additional dynamic volume control and 63-125Hz freq boost instead of only 63Hz in non Clear Audio phones. Maybe later I will explain it
Feel free to correct me if I was wrong

VX2 is awesome. xD
Anyone can give me song good eq setting for wmp?
Using 3.5mm jack port quality will be better?

I've just tested v9.x and VX2, and I have to say that something totally went wrong there. Basically it sounds like an entire range of sound is missing, somewhere around the low-midtones. It might be good for some tracks, but it's totally weird. /and I'm not the first one to say that

/
Someone mentioned v6.1, well, that doesn't have this kind of problems, sounds a lot better.
Plus, I found a really good track for any acoustic driver: "Star Wars - Main Theme". It has just everything, a good bass, complex mids, highs, lot of various instruments... You can really hear after just seconds if there is something wrong.
(Tested with W960, HPM-70, and Sennheiser CX500.)
By the way, is there a tutorial for editing these acoustic files?
I also figured that the stock W960 acoustics is pretty good with the CX500 (not dynamic enough w/ HPM-70 though, so for that crystallity stuff is better, or the W715 acoustics) but needs a little more punch in the lows and some reduction in the mid-highs.
Happy new year!

Forgot something:
It'd be cool if the megabass was edited so it wouldn't amplify the highs. Is there any way to do that?

i downloaded the soundtrack of Starwars Trilogy and played the Star Wars - Main Theme on my W995 using VX2 driver with MH100+HPM78 and woww the sound output is superb and perfectly blend just like listening to live philharmonic orchestra....seriously

Hi guis i have ported the vX2 acoustic mod to my w902 and i was flattered by the volume(xtreme) but i noticed some kind distortion there is a bit of hissing and when on highest volume on some songs the bass is too much for the headphones to handle (HPM-77) so they begin to scramble the sound. Any suggestions...
