Welcome back, deido.
Why pnly those 2 options: used, but good/ or new but less good; why not good but new? That's what I'd do
Seriously speaking, the SP5m is currently priced at 3000 l.e., but the SP3i is sold for 2250 l.e., the difference being mainly the OS and WIFI support.
I don't know about used IMATES but I think if I buy a new Imate, I'd still worry about the warranty support, coz even with such widely spread models as Nokia, after sales service is horrible, so the point is, how worse can the service for such rare phones as Imate be?
I think my next phone will be Imate too, but still, I'll ahve to think too often about the poor service.

well.....i got a friend who has PDA2K and another one who has PDA2...actually they are really nice phones....u wont need anything else beside them.........for the service, i don't know a dealer for them in Egypt...but there some other places where u can have some service for it...a friend of mine has changed the board of his Qtek phone.....
another thing is that nowadays i c a lot of ppl who use imate/Qtek phones....so it's spreading.....

If you're aiming at a pda, then Imate is your toy. The dealer is Phono.

don't count on phono or sama because they don't know any thing about imate they sell only and nothing after. also don't think to buy sp3i because it has a manufacturer broblem i recommend sp5m but if you need to use office apps then the kjam or pda2

Those were exactly my doubts

Compume used to be the imate dealer for imate in Egypt. But a while ago I read in Alahram that sama, which was recently bought by Raya, got the dealership for imate and Sagem in Egypt. So I guess you'd go for the company that issued the warranty.

Yes I already have the K-Jam from 10 days it's a good device and the new rom is better than the old one
the black jam is good but the style and material quality is not as good as the K-Jam
the only problem with the k-jam which is same problem of all WM 5.0 devices is the running programs must be closed from time to time (every day for example) to make your device faster
but the K-Jam is good my previous openion was diff. because I thought that the size of the screen won't fit my excel sheets and the processor will be weak but really after using the device I like it
at least when you compare with JasJar in the size K-Jam is better
I used the JasJar 6 days but I think carrying my laptop is better
