Just a word of warning to 3 customers in the UK.
SEUS allowed me to update my K800 to the KG firmware.
All looked good but there is a problem that the menu.ml file is corrupted and as a result the camera fails to operate.
Used Wotan to reurn it to the JE firmware and all is fine.
I reflashed just to check and faced the same problem.
3 customers take care using SESU!

Don't flash yours with K810i firmware. The keypad won't light up. I suggest R1KC001 with CHINA.wtm and APAC.wtf if you want to keep APAC languages with you. If not pick up any Generic--not Generic Trade---R1KG001. That's the latest.

My wife has K800i on 3-UK so not sure whether to try or not, did you actually delete the download folder for SEUS before re-flashing as the files are cached locally, so a corrupt file would still be the same on the 2nd flash....
BTW was the customisation changed, my K610 3-UK was flashed at a service centre because it died and when it came back it still had R1JE but it now has the walkman style EMS icons in Add Item > Animation.
Also just flashed R1KG using SEUS to my 3-UK K610i and all is OK.

Yeah folder was deleted and the file redownloaded. As I said whole process went well until you access the menu and get the error! Then rying to use the camera or video phone a message
flashes on the screen very quickly saying something like 'cannot start camera as another application s running'
Has anyone successfully Upgraded a 3-UK K800 to R1KG?
I don't want to have to waste time trying again!

Something like this killed my K610 so service centre had to re-flash...
Seems odd as only happened a since you leave the SIM in, as service centre updated EROM (on my K610) not sure if you need the new EROM to use SEUS now, but that would be very odd.

Looks like R1KG001 is out for O2 UK branded K800's.
I can certainly confirm this.
There's also a new EROM version as well R3A022

Have been googling for two days and all solutions seem to suggest either wotan or service center.... Has anyone found out why this particular problem happens? And is there any other solution (free!)?
Also can I delete the "updates" folder under C:\\Program Files\\Sony Ericsson\\Update Service? Someone mentioned that this folder has some old caches which may affect the way the phone gets flashed.
