The freezing isn't a bug I've encountered. I think it's someting else

Well that's your phone. Lucky you!
Are you saying that we don't have any serious probems with our phones or that we are only a few handful people that have issues with our phones or are you simply suggesting that we are lying? I'm just curious.

This is turning into mass hysteria. While the phone does have issues its no where near as debilitating as some of you make it out to be. Stop being so dramatic.

Came on here expecting it to be out today, geeez unreal, phone crashed again today, 3rd day running, getting more frequent and with less reasons, today I was only going back from the menu to the home screen, pah.

I'm on R1CA0037 and also experience random crashes -- mostly during phone calls and while using Java, but sometimes just for no reason. I, too, am hoping firmware will help. My crashes also seem to be getting more frequent. Java seems to be slowing down as well. I'll be doing a master reset prior to the next FW update. I'm just hoping for some more stability and less sluggish media player.

Hello to the esato society

The good idea to keep the phone fit is to make master reset from time to time. Some time (month?) after master reset my phone became sluggish and touch softkeys were getting stuck from time to time, at the critical moment about 4 times a day (when the keypad is blocked - the only way to use the phone then is to put battery in and out). Also it was crashing in random moments.

After Master reset everything's working almost fine (i'm not counting the volume buttons bug etc.). So it's a good idea to make master reset at least once a month. And it's required to do a master reset after SEUS update!!! For everyone experiencing crashes and slowdowns problem - do a master reset mates!

Anyway, on Polish forum here:
http://centrumse.pl/forum/ind[....]e=threaded&start=0#entry241487
there is info from SE worker who said 2 days ago, that R1EA031 will be on SEUS in about week, max 2 weeks. Anyway, she doesn't know what's new in this fw.

icic but the picture wasnt able to b edit by photoDJ
so i still cant do anything about it

another problem is the pictures sorting in Media > Photo > Pictures

after i del those 14 pics, 4 of them are part of the fone so dont want to touch them, so i del 10 pictures... but when i load the pictures bak to picture folder 2 of my pictures appears Media > Photo > Pictures...then when i exit media and go bak in again under Media > Photo > Pictures shows 14 pics agian...
why this keep happening??

1> Copy the photos back to your PC.
2> Check the properties and its Summary Comments! Also check for any Meta tags on them ... if you're using Vista & After originally saving these photos if edited there or indexed possibly the root of the issue?
3> check also any photos in the Phone Album & Card Album once you saved to the PC/Mac then Completely purge them from the phone & card via PC/Mac.
4> Use PC Suite to sync your items. FORMAT your card. I think its an oddity with miss handled ablum art photos. Media Player 11 on WinXP SP2 also duplicates (but in Hidden properties state) in the MyMusic folder. This also copy's to my K790a' M2 card as well. Very annoying.

I hope this helps.

i used ur method, bakup MS, format MS then load everything bak using PC suite... but i still have 13 random pics under Meida > Photo > Pictures
also when i slide the top button to view pictures, it shows pictures that are not in DCIM folders too!!
Does this happen to everyone in 037 firmware??

To the previous poster..

That's a good tip, very good. But there's just one problem..

We didn't pay almost £380, or go on 18 Month Contracts totalling £600+ for a phone that requires a Master Reset once a month and all this nonsense. Sony Ericsson should pull their heads out their arses, they've released so many buggy ones. The phone resetting one has happened to friends who have different models, it's SE's software, not just the K850i.
