One thing I noticed about the V800 is that one-handed operation is impossible. It'll easily fall out of your hand.

I think that's one of the things i like most about the 6600, the fact that one can easily handle it one-handed. It's hectic in the Kryptik household this morning, house being given the full treatment in preparation for going on show tomorrow. First new batch of prospects pitching this afternoon already, so hopefully all will be finalised by next week this time, since one or two couples have been here twice already, trying to make up their minds. Bloody property prices are ridiculous. When i built this place 8 years ago it cost just over R100k, including paying for the builders, etc. Now it's nearly quintupled in value, the only real additions having been paving and a braai area, lawns, etc. Question is, how the freak are youngsters starting out ever going to be able to own a house when prices are continually spiralling upward?

@ Kryptik,
Da Wanqsta was hoping to buy property in both countries, but all that went pretty much out the window when property prices in SA started their unrelenting, ballistic climb about two years ago.
Hindsight and retrospect become no more than futile reflection, when I think how I shoulda bought back then.
I keep thinking of first time homebuyers who have perhaps just scraped together finances to purchase a humble abode;God forbid that/if the relatively low interest rates go up...
Property prices in London are still high in comparison, but it seems CT,EL and everywhere else's house prices are VERY quickly catching up...
We're planning to buy property just outside London,in slightly more rural parts of Essex, within the year, all being well.

@Rhino: I've got average-size hands and the V800 is definitely BIG...each time I had it in my hand it felt as it would easily fall out. I should also add that I've never owned a clamshell phone.
@Kryptik & the wanqsta: I'm also thinking about buying a house but it's sooo bloody expensive...The only cheap places are on the outskirts where you spend 3 hours in a traffic jam.

It's really gotten out of hand how prices have risen in the past few years. One thing that's been proven true is the tale told by every financial advisor that if you paid a coupla hundred extra every month you'd take trillions off the bond, etc.
Brix, i was a year older than you when i bought this place, and started paying extra into the account. The result is that the outstanding bond is now so low it's negligible. My younger brother lives in Durbanville, getting married in December. Boytjie was here on Tuesday, told me exactly the same story, how exorbitant CT prices are.
Maybe it's time we went shopping on the platteland, gentlemen. Prices are fairly high there too, but at least the fresh air is free.

WTF? That fact that WP lost to a bunch of boneheads has just sunk in, now you're telling me the Arsenal lost. With all the Currie Cup action today I haven't been paying attention to the footy. Will check the Beeb for the exact score.
