@doc -- That is an artificial (computer-generated) bokeh effect. You can get that effect with a mechanical camera whose aperture can be opened wide. Wide aperture plus close-focusing yields a lot of bokeh.
At the gates of Asilo de San Vicente de Paul, a convent where orphaned children are taken care of. A peaceful, sunny Sunday morning.

@doc, thanks buddy, I am rather pleased with the effect I managed to achieve, and it looks great printed on a 6x4 which is a bonus
. I used 'ms picture it' to alter the background. The original picture of my daughter happened to come out well giving me good material to work with, I still like the original, but am very pleased with this version.
I borrowed my daughters K700 this afternoon a took a couple of shots whilst out walking in the forest with the gitmyster
