Your correct. Nothing really does last forever. Just when something good is happening it can all turn around just like flipping a coin. @nature. I don't envy your friends insurance premium when she gets her licence back. Mine's been high for the part five years and my conviction and points should be taken off my licence this august which should hopefully bring my insurance down a lot. Goodnight all.

anyone who drink drives is irrisponsible and should NOT be allowed to drive. Ever. Period.
My friend lost his partner in an accident involving a drink driver, who did not have any insurance, tax or mot on his car
I think the sentence for drink driving should be much tougher. Banned from driving for life, and if caught driving (with no insurance cos cant get it) it should be life in prison. Thats how strongly I feel about it.

@csi I agree, I had a car smashed up by a drink driver whilst it was parked, along with my mums which was parked behind it. Ten minutes earlier I was underneath it with it up on axle stands, hate to think what I would have looked like when they lifted the car off me if he had been ten minutes earlier!

while i agree, i just have 2 point out that she wasnt drunk.
she was hardly over thr limit, we were stopped randomly, if the copper hadnt smelt booze on her breath, he said he would not have breathalysed her.
she got arrested about 1.30, @ 5.30 they checked her again, told her she was ok, gave her her keys back and threw her out.

Whoot. Been paid today. £967 wages. Not bad for a weeks work
@Nature. She's very lucky then.
Referring to my comment above. I was not drunk driving. That is something I'd never do. It was a case of some numpty pulling out on me. I swerved to avoid and went over the center line as a taxi was coming along and we hit head on. The taxi driver had no tax, mot or insurance and fled the scene leaving his passenger trapped in the car.
Basically, I was done because I was staggering the central line. The car that pulled out on me drove away. I got the conviction despite having 8 witnesses to prove that a car had pulled out at a T junction without stopping.
Recieved a CD10 on my licence and 4 points with £238 fine and court costs.

If anyone has ever seen video of the tests they did in a simulator with volunteers and gave them progressivley larger amounts of alcohol no one would have anything to drink if they are driving. Even one drink impairs your responses and brain function. Same with drugs.
She was lucky, hope she learns her lesson and stops drinking if she is driving. I wouldnt mind if it was just the drunk driver who gets hurt etc but its not, you are sharing the road with other people and none of those deserve to have people on the road with them with impaired judgement and reflexes.
@miss uk, you should come get a job at a local authority, women in my dept all get paid the same as us men!
