@ashg77: The swedish article states that some of the released P990's have problem executing the Opera Browser, and that the example they got for testing suffered from this bug.
It also states that SE's customer service are familiar with the problem, and users having this problem with their phones are asked to return it to a service center.

Does the p990i have a default internet application like the p800,p900 and p910i?? Because it the opera caused the problem,you can used the default internet application.
@spine6
the p990 and the m600 both have the Opera 8 or 9 (forget which one the latest one that came out is). It is the integrated browser, i.e not stand-alone app.
No big deal though, I am sure it will be fixed with a firmware update (which makes me wonder why they are asking people to return it to a service center)

Hmm . . . Why do I get the feeling all this is turning into a expensive nightmare for SE and early customers alike

After waiting so long I was hopping for a bug free device, is not that cheap neighter mind you. Also the specs overall are not 'cutting edge' anymore. And now this fu.k up. For true cutting edge check this :

Please keep apart the memory that are used to store things on the phone and the RAM.
The problem isn't that SE has filled it up with programs and stuff. The problem is the memory the phone use when it runs programs and it's OS.
Storage is no problem since you can buy up to a 8GB memory-stick and put in.

if the P990 is like the M600 SE will have included a lot of apps and content in the user memory which not eveyone needs.
That is why we need Sman for UIQ3.0 to delete all those unwanted memory hawks.

I agree with darky ... its late, its slow, its bugged, its got a hideous design ... c'mon SE, we expected more!!
Moreover, the hardware of the phone has been ready since more than 2 years, in all probability, the successor to P990i will have beter hardware, but the software will be UIQ3. So my guess is that SE will screw us by releasing P1000 or something like that before the year end. They know everyone is gonna buy the P990i regardless of whether its good or bad, and they also know that after using the P990i, they will definitely buy the P1000i.
SE knows the P990i is a biiig block of mistakes, nothing more.
