Bennie this wasn't just smoke, it was some sort of gas, and evidently it was more dense than air, cos we were gasping, and could not even see beyond 50ft. You needed to have been here to understand what we are talking about.

Like I said, it was gas from a burst pipeline. When those things were being installed a year or two or three ago, i wondered how this would not happen. Petrol lines leak - and regularly too - in this country, not to now talk of gas! Gas!

How on earth is govt going to prevent it from happening again. Are you talking about this government or another one?

One way to prevent these things from reoccuring is for civil action to be taken against erring firms. By the time they pay compensation five times in a month, they'll do the right thing.
@Aya: Are you talking about Gaslink's pipeline that was laid all around Lagos?

This govt's num 1 priority is 2007. How it's people manage to survive is far frm their reasoning. We the electorate shld learn frm this so dt 2007 will produce a govt of selfless service.

@Bennie: You wish! Do we ever learn? 2007 will be the worst and most rigged election, and guess what? The electorate will be the tools used for rigging.
