I didn't think the new f/w affected the camera? It's still version 4.5 on the first post! how does it affect the quality of pix if it's the same camera version?

Isn't this thread moderated at all? Over the last couple of weeks, with the release of the new firmware, there has been tons of messages which really serve no purpose at all.

Having read all messages on the K700 and K750 firmware threads over the last couple of years, I can definitely say I haven't seen a lower message quality ratio than this time with the R1AA008 release. There is hardly a piece of useful information on every couple of pages anymore! All I read for 10 days now is "f*ck SE", "gave money and took bugs", and "me too" messages.

People please do all the rest of us a favour and try to limit your anger. We all have problems, and we all want the new firmware, but posting every other minute repeating "SEUS II is busy", "me too", "me too", "me too" really won't make it work. If someone tries it and it works, then they could post a message

hmm, so once it loops, if you just let it sit for 5 minutes, you get server full/can't connect. but it's a different window that before. (only in english this time)

OK just rang SE the guy i spoke to confirmed the update service 1 and 2 are DOWN. he couldnt give me a time for when it'l be fixed but said they are workin on it and just keep trying.

in reply to Elishan sorry but i think the 'me too' and rants are much more appropiate for this post than the amount of posts we see from ppl asking questions that are answered on the first page.
The 'me too' etc show others how big the prob is. i.e is it worldwide or just certain reigons/networks etc that are gettin certain problems using the service.
as we all know some ppl get big errors n bugs some get none so ppl posting there experiances are helping to narrow it down. well at least thats how i see it, each to their own n all that lol.

Edit* im guessing those of us who are waitin on a confirmation mail should get it wen the service is back up, so probably easier to keep checkin mail?

update service. ran perfectly. one thing though - i think the update client uninstals all SE drivers from the system, because i had to reinstall them (even the update driver - the one that's detected when you press C and insert the cable). Apart from that, ran smoothly. Version confirmed afterwards, with the changes from the first post. I don't know yet if I have the MS DUO bug, still testing.

when updating, the progress bar will stop at the last line. Don't disconnect the phone, it will finish after 2-3 minutes.

Sorry, eliashan.. i just went insane for a bit because i feel misreated, lied to and robbed... i mean let's be honest:

-my 512 mb card died in my phone (bought a new 1GB now)
-the unique selling point of the w800 is the walkman function and that is not working properly
-you cant properly transfer files
-when bleutooth on, you cant switch it off anymore
-a good firmware version hasnt been released for over 3 months
-SE lies about their server being to busy
-SE lied to me about the firmware being available at the flashpoint
-SE lied to me about the release date of the firmware

It was just too much for me at a certain point :'(


Let's all just hope SE fixes it all very soon so we can all be happy again. Lol
