I think it means phones from a batch that have not yet had the updates required after proper testlng on European networks the very reason I dont want a P990 just yet

right...no marketing in August, and no "official" release, i agree...but the phone is and will appear on stores all over Europe (and Asia), untill the end of the month IMHO

I have a pre-order with expansys so will recieve one of the "pre-release models" What i want to know is the following:
Whats the difference between getting one from uk and sweden?
If i receive on in the next day or so will i be sending it back or to a service centre to be repaired?
Are the problems hardware or firmware?
Why the official delay until september (is it only marketing?) should i wait to september.
I'm sure many have similar questions they want cleared up.

the SE warranty applys all over the EU (at least)...so your p990 can come from sweden, and be repaired in the UK. But you have to get a proper invoice or similar document, with the serial number of the p990, to show the service center
i still donīt get is why only some european countries have Coming Soon again...and if this is related with the ones who will have it in stores even in August (Sweden, ?)...i hope thatīs true for my country lol

Got it working again. Messed around with which bookmark-folder to sync and that f...ed it all up.
The sync i really slow, though. Had hoped that USB2 should speed things up a bit. But it is sooooo nice not to have confirm the outlook sync every single time as it used to be. Actually, IMHO the whole PC-suite has improved considerably.
