No one else has this 15 sec saving-time for pics with R1KG?
Disable time/date stamp. It will save pics almost instantly. This prolonged saving time is 'normal' in this f/w version only with date/time stamp enabled.

Thank you! That was the solution.
SE must really have messed up some code when they changed from green date/time stamp to this red one...
Very bad since I really like having the stamps in my pics...

To make it exactly as the standalone Cyber-shot digital camera, may be? If I'm not mistaken the date/time stamp is red..or am I wrong? Can't exactly remember..

The firmware of the K800/K790 can be upgraded either over the air by selecting Settings / Update Service / Search for update or via the more traditional (and potentially cheaper) method of the Sony Ericsson Update Service. In order to use SEUS you will need to have internet access (preferably Broadband) and attach your phone to your PC via the supplied USB cable.
On my 3-branded phone I cannot upgrade over the air, and nor can I use the SEUS as I don't run windows. What are my options?

You can provide more information about which particular OS you are using.

I am on a Mac and boot camp is the only stable solution for me, virtualisation isn't stable.

Try this:
1. Enable screensaver
2. Disable screensaver
I had a similar problem before and it got fixed by doing the above steps.
