some people here, especially the ones who now own the k750 are disappionted about the k7's camera. why? are these the same people who, not more than a year ago, touted the k7's features the best since sliced bread? what happened to them? did they turned Benedict Arnold(to borrow from american history)? just like the venerable t68 and t610, the k7 has a part in mobile history. the said units introduced features in convergent style that others have only yet to incorporate in their own machines. they aren't obsolete in any manner. yes they have been outgunned by newer, shinier units, like the k750, but then, like beauty, it's in the eye of the user. they have never been outclassed. feature for feature they are still on par with the latest, just don't count the numbers. in any case, if you want a great camera don't look for it in cam phones because, accept it or not, they are merely hyped up webcams no matter how you look at it. get a cybershot if you're looking for "great camera features and images", if not then don't put the rest of us down with your hippy jazz "mine is better than yours" ranting. because at the end of the day, without these "obsolete" units, your shiny new wonder-gadget wouldn't exist. that goes double to those new skool punks who think that they are better than their forebears!

just ranting...please excuse me. i've had a long day

@jojo - thanks again dude Your are probably correct with your 'Nature' guy statement mate, I am rather partial to a beautiful lanscape, forest scene, sunset etc If you get the time you should check the w800 thread, there are some very nice shots on there

Another couple of beach shots.....

@rockygali - sorry but i was having a reeeeeeaaaaaly long day yesterday. anyway hope you got entertained by my little tirade. i read it again and got me a snicker.

i can't upload my pics! i recently bought a USB cable for my k7 and all it does is charge my phone! my PC doesn't recognize it. i'm taking it back to the shop and getting me a USB Bluetooth dongle instead. the cable's SE branded for God's sake!!!

@marlonski - nice pics, as usual. i hate you!

Of course the camera in the k750 is better; there's no doubt about that.

That does not mean the k700 camera is obsolete; I still like what it does and often I'm the only one to have good looking pictures and moreover I'm the only one that has them out of the phone on e-mail fast. From most other people you never get to see anything. I think it is because what comes out of the k700 is rather small already and is fit for e-mail just like that.

And I have always believed that if you have 'the eye', you'll make great pictures no matter what your camera is. The only caveat is how big you can print them.
