i donīt know, but if they donīt, they should - i think you should send them and email about the subject, telling them you whant that data on the invoice...
Iīm telling you this because some Service Centers can ask for it for servicing the equipment, and its safe to have it

According to the Swedish support center there are no such thing ass "pre-release models". The phone is out according to them... I pointed out to him that it seems like it's not released in for example UK but he didn't really belived me.. and he didn't know about any memory-faliur or browser-errors as well... Seems like the newspaper knows more about the phone then the support-apartment at least.
I don't think it's a big different in getting it from Sweden or UK. the hardware is the same (as for what I know). The thing might be that the FW will be newer and better on the UK-version... but then we can update ower swedish ones as well..
The quantity in sweden of p990 seems to be big... no problem in getting one even if you havn't pre-order... correct me if I'm wrong... (I've had 3 calls from stores where I had pre-orderd who said it's in for pickup.. only took the first one.. hehe)

Expansys appear to have clarified what they are meaning by pre-launch stock:

The first batch will not be final release firmware for the UK (few more bug fixes and push email support) - but a firmware upgrade will sort this problem out
phones2udirect and mphone both state they are getting stock thurs/fri this week (in line with expansys) and mphone have spare stock when I rang them!

All this negativity is making me start to think about getting a p990 now, although I've already purchased my Martin Fields screen protector, hardly much in comparision to the Ģ590 the p990 is going for, but still.
But surely they will not release a new Pxxx(x) within the next 6 or even 12 months? - as this would be very poor (or cleaver) marketing, I can assure you I will be put off SE if they do this, and probably demand the new model as a free upgrade as I have been testing thier beta version the p990.
Are P990 owners happy with the phone, maybe you could give us some ratings out of 10 or 100, just to give those without one an idea.

i need some news from the indian guys man...whats the scenerio goin around? is it gonna be launched on 15th aug in India?

My personal feeling (and I have nothing to back this up with) is that SE will release an updated P-series phone within 6 months, with all the things that would make it bleeding edge: 802.11g, 3.2MP camera etc.
In saying that, I will be buying a P990i!
