@tranced
apparently the x10 in some markets come with a proper screen protector pre installed. underneath the 'factory stick on oe' which is usually full of bubbles plus a spare one in box

Just installed Layar, which is free on Android Market, and had a go at the local search - amazing stuff!

Very impressive.

Congratulations to all the Lucky X10 owners:

Few Questions to ask before i get my X10 since i've stuck to my trusty p990 for the past 5 years!

1) Does it support RSS feeds and can it display the Rss ticker on the homescreen? Really liked that feature on my C905.. was pretty useful for news headlines, sports and medicine updates, the standby ticker function

2) Can i receive "selected calls" only? Does it allow me to make a list of Callers whose calls i want to receive? if yes Is there a maximum limit to the list of callers that i can add to the list? In the C905 the limit was 10 contacts, whereas in the P990 i could set to receive calls from "contacts only" or make an unlimited list of callers. This is a pretty important feature for me since i'm a doctor and need to bar unnecessary calls during operating hours.

Hi... Any update on the above 2 queries? Is there call filtering and Rss ticker?

@Goldenface: You said that there was an option to send a particular contact to voicemail? Can it be done with a group of contacts?

Anyone using invisible shield on X10?? Is it good and easy to apply?? Thanks

Read back in the thread. There is already a pre-installed screen protector on the phone.

invisible shield covers the whole phone though lol...

and is the screen protector installed in all markets?

Here's a link to the invisibleSHIELD for the X10 if anyone's interested. I too would be curious to know how easy it is to install and what people who bought it thought (whether for the X10 or any other phone).

I tend to be very careful with my phones, and my 14 month old iPAQ 910c is in nearly immaculate condition except for some wear where the stylus held. I tend to prefer leather belt cases, but some additional protection is never a bad thing.

@Oogamous

I don't think there is. You can put a * next to contacts and they will appear in a group which you can display, but I can find no option to send all that group's calls straight to voicemail.

1) You can use AnyRSS reader widget v3.4.1.

2), 3) As far as I am concerned, yes, you can. If it's not build-in, use Call Blocker v1.7.0 or GBlocker v2.0.0.

Every SE phone I have owned has 'Restrict calls' built in, from feature to smartphone. I would think the X10 has that and would be surprised if it was left out.

Like Oogamous, that is one feature I use EVERY NIGHT (on my P1) when going to bed and I rate it alongside call quality in importance. Seeing that my next phone is undoubtedly Android I hope the feature is there or I'll have to go for another OS.

You need to see this as an android phone rather than an phone and look for apps to provide the features you want you will be surprised how many there are.

@ Goldenface, @mediar - Thanks

@ Dups - Yup the 'restrict calls' feature sure has made life easier...

Hope there is a suitable app for android available, if the feature isn't built in that is...
