Looks like a bargain. Does it really work in the glovebox? Which chipset is it? RFMD or SiRF II / III ?

Arrgghh!! - I've now got my shiny new P990i and the Tom Tom software from Fatreg. However, when I install the software on my phone it keeps saying no maps found. I have a sub directory called "GB_plus_major_roads_of_WE" from the root directory which I assume is where the maps are stored.
I've done an uninstall and a re-install and got the same problem. I've also dropped the GB_plus_major_roads_of_WE.rar file into the root directory to see if that makes any difference but still no good.
I don't even get to the manual activation screen yet and I have the keygen all set up and ready to go!
Has anyone got any idea where I'm going wrong?? Any help would be greatly appreciated....

You need to go to the manage maps section of TomTom. Point it in the direction of your map pack and then enter your user ID.
It worked for me and works with this GPS receiver

Thanks. However, when I try and start up Tom Tom from the Tools menu in the control panel it's headed up at the top of the screen "Select a map: but in the main screen is still says No maps found! and all I have at the bottom of the screen is a button saying Done.

I used to have a Globalsat BT308 with Sirf II chip. Impossible to have in the glovedepartment, it couldn't lock on to the satellites.
With my current BT Gps unit I always have lock due to the fact that it has Sirf III chipset.

To download TomTom 6 for UIQ3 follow this thread and information. I just installed it on my M600i, and it is working great ! (You can also add Speeding cameras as POI)
