after udating to the latest software even i am having the battery drain problem, i am charging my battery in the morning and next day morning its getting to 9% . previously i use to get almost 30 to 36 hours.
Good chance it's the backlight bug that's draining the battery, there's a solution, read here:

Would it be possible for se to put a flash player in the next update?
that also depends on Adobe releasing it for UIQ3

Hello.
Was looking forward for this release... And hoped for the camera fix so the auto-focus function would work again on my p990i..
But nothing have worked

Now i will try one more and update it. And if it not will work i will take it to a repair place...
The update have helped on a lot of difrent other stuff. And i now like the phone even more O.o

... am i correct in thinking that when the phone is in silent, i can't hear music, film tone etc? normally silent mode just respects phone call, calendar alarm settings etc... is this treated differently on the p990i?
When in silent mode, no sound whatsoever comes out of P990's speakers irrespective of any software in use.

@makbil
thanks for the advice...
is there a shortcut to switch to silent mode from flip open mode?
if i already have silent mode active, i can see the silent icon but have not found a way to switch quickly to silent mode...
thanks

Don't worry too much about the RAM at startup thingy, it's actually quality that matters rather than quantity. We can have 20mb of RAM at startup but it wouldn't mean a thing without decent memory management, and that's exactly what we're having with this new fw. Of course to see a bigger RAM displayed is a treat to the eyes, but let's just overlook that for now (until the next update that is, we have BIG expectations SE!) and savour this delightful 'brand new' device we have in our hands. Now it looks like eventhough N95 is the talk of the town, P990i might just remain numero uno in the touch screen department

up arrow > volume > silent mode
There is no one-touch shortcut like in FC mode...

Just try some wma files on your P990i. They are about 3db higher then mp3. So its louder and sounds great
