Here revised camdriver, it's set back all compression and buffer size to default, slightly enhanced sharpening, 30 FPS video (with small glitch on zoom while record on normal mode), no problem at bestpic

Hi all,

I'm new to this modding thing. I saw the 2.9 cam drivers and the photo quality is AMAZING!

I've downloaded the driver, but how do I install it into my K800?

Also, is it possible to flash a K800 to become K810 using Waton service?

K800 modders
if someone have camera crash because of too high (95%) quality try this:

below cam_ss_sync=5;
add line cam_ss_retries=5;

then modify:

seq_set_prop_5_9 = $"3M_low_comp"
#SET_REG(19,5F) // (95%)
#SET_REG(1A,5F) // (94%)
#SET_REG(1B,55) // (85%)
#SET_REG(13,84) #SET_REG(14,03)
#SET_REG(17,20) #SET_REG(18,03)
#SET_REG(15,58) #SET_REG(16,02);

before you check this in your phone rememeber to set 3MP and Fine quality

K800 drivers can take only one snapshot. if you set quality at too high value then camera will crash. to avoid this more snapshots should be taken (cam_ss_retries) to find compression % which isn't problem for 900kb buffer. second problem: flash will fire only at first snapshot and if first snapshot will fail then next snapshot will be taken but without the flash! you should check flash on/off state before you take snapshot and if flash is enabled then original compression settings should be used to prevent snapshot retakes. this works wonderful in modded K750/W800/W810 drivers

kopritis ver 3 camdriver doesnt crash...

but it has issues on BestPic™ the focus is a bit delayed... and the viewfinder jiggles.....

i guess an esatonian pointed that one out... that the Bestpic takes refuge on the video specs side... thats why this 35fps is overdone...

is this what the 30fps have corrected?

Thanks Raiderski, but I think some case the problem will occurs over and over again, I do much in macro mode, and I have some angle to take photo which is ALWAYS reset the camera if I take an snapshot, no matter what compression (beside original of course), I already try 95 and it's crash, try retake several time (3-4 times) and all failed, so I decrease to 92%, and this time also 4 of 4 times failed, so I get back default and it's never failed, and guess what, that file size is average at 905-906 KB in size with default setting (90), so no wonder it always failed if i decrease compression, cause it will give more than 909 KB (101% of handling capacity).

Your suggestion is good, maybe later I will try it, but in mean time the much reliable setting still 90% only, best pic already fixed so it can incorporate with video recording set at 30 FPS.
