I'm getting quite annoyed with my 1 week old W910. Have been experiencing problems that were apparently fixed in earlier updates. 3 times today the phone has hung up automatically after 10 minutes during a call. It randomly disconnects from my SE HBH-GV435 while on a call. Constant freezing and rebooting. Internet browser hangs often is some of the things i've experienced. Oddly my girlfriends not had anything go wrong with hers which was bought on the same day.

My phone just reset on me. Sigh. Absolutely useless. Don't even bother calling helpdesk, they don't know shit. Just ask you to update to the latest firmware using SEUS, and they think they're doing a favour sending you the link to SEUS. Like we don't know how to already. Shithouse.

They don't know what you don't know. Tell them you have tried SEUS and the phone still cuts out. Tell them you have had 4 or more phones and then tell them you would like to exchange the phone for a different sony erriccson phone. I am sure they will if thats what you want. I know these phones are a nice design but the firmware sux.

Mine doesn't cut out as much as it did, and the problem with it restarting rarely happens.

The phone functioning is still sluggish when playing music, and trying to operate the phone!

After some extensive research, i have discovered that the battery life for the phone has been significantly reduced in latter SE firmwares. Reading dozens and dozens of reviews online from w910i owners, it seems that those that report poor battery life are on the latest R1EA030 or R1CA038/39 firmware. At first, I thought maybe there are different manufacturers for the w910i, but after talking to SEUS customer rep I was told that all w910i comes from essentially the same place.

To me, this is gay. In my opinion, mobility should be one of the top priorities for a mobile phone. If I am talking on it and worrying that it will run out of batteries and having to recharge it frequently then why don't i just use a landline phone?

When I was on R1CA029, the battery was giving me about a good 3 days with 2 hours of walkman and mild gaming daily (5days with mild use of walkman and gaming daily). Now I am on R1EA030 and I am getting less than 2 days (sometimes even less than 1) if i am using walkman the way I used to and receiving calls. Also, I have selected all the power saving options that i can find (ie bluetooth off, GSM only, brightness down...etc) but still no help. No matter how conservative i am in using my w910i i am losing an average 10~15% every 8 hours (even if i am in standby mode).

Another reason that not many people experienced a major drop in power is latter w910i handsets were shipped with R1CA038/39 or R1EA030 firmwares due to restart problems.

Yes, the R1EA030 firmware has made the scrolling of menus a bit faster and smoother, but it is no where helpful in the battery performance you lose as result of it. Sorry about my rant, but I am just frustrated that I often have to find a place to recharge my phone during an inconvenient time of the day, and there are no local service centers i can go to in North America to get my firwmare restored. If you don't mind, share your two cents about battery life.

With R1EA030 my Battery drains much faster than the old version.. They need release a new firmware to improve the battery.. mine only stands around 3days now.. firmware before R1EA030 could stay around 6days..

As I Know I can't see much different between the old and new firmware, only drawback is battery life is much worser...
