Hi all

Just update mine Satio with the latest update and everything working perfect as before including rompatcher and helloOX2. A few things i noticed after the update
1. they wipe out my music and pictures file (which i dont really care cuz i back up already that's bc i put them in C drive)***correction...sorry i somehow forgot that i moved them to E drive
2. the homescreen now can be minimize and double tap on wigets doesnt work you have to go to setting to change the options
3.Vivaz homescreen does running smoother
4.the system does seems to run abit quicker when selecting apps
5.sound still low when recording but play back was as same as before

other than that im still testing the handset any questions feel free to ask me ill answer with my best possible

Update for Generic Western European available. Not seen the option to "Update" or "Update & Reset" before. It's recommending just to "Update", is this what most of you guys have done?

Cheers

How to: update to R2AK006 whilst retaining the ability to hack your phone

@raafat.. seen your tutorial / step-by-step guide. wondering would hard-reset erase out all my setting on the phone. I mean all the customization that I have done according to my requirements/taste.

Aussie here. Update successful!

Here is what i did: (Just sharing the experience.)

*switch off phone (must mention: i did not take out and reinsert battery)
*REMOVE SD card
*Connect cable USB end to USB port
*Launch SE updater in windows (7)
*wait til the window request you to HOLD call (green) button and PLUG in cable to Phone end.
*At Next window was ask to release Call button then choose the recommended option where you KEEP Personal Settings
*Waited about 15 minute for the whole operation to finish (117 mb download)
*Unplug data cable at Phone end
*Take out battery
*REINSERT SD card
*Power up phone, waited roughly 1 minute
*Yet phone appear slow, take 5 sec for menu to show up, unable to locate my photos at SE home screen
*So Restart phone again
after power up, all seems working fine, checked all photos, contacts, software intact

HelloOX hack appear intact, however I have not try to install anything after upgrade.
So far pretty stable, all hacked apps can be launched.

Impression:
Most visible the facebook app and the Wvga video taking.
The conversation thing is pretty much useless, no new scrolling improvements, same old as only under SE homescreen.
Does not see so called UI improvements.
Games like Raging Thunder does not work...
Maybe phone more stable, maybe battery life is better but, judge by a fresh charged bty gone down to 68% (according to 5800blog bty meter) after update... maybe not.
don't know how to remove that useless music icon....did some one said it was possible?

SE needs to DO better in the next update, they can put these in easily anyway:

* Kinetic scrolling
* Vivaz Homescreen
* Customise SE homescreen's short cut icons (i don't want google search)
* Widget on SE homescreen
* Advance camera options, ie manual focus, manual white balance
* Ability to use (coming) Symbian App store contents (pay or not)
* faster menu transit, my friends Nokia 5230 is faster, Satio CPU is 240 mhz faster!
* on screen call timer, i got no idea how long I have talked until I hang up!
as for 720P video, not exactly nesscary
