Is there anybody who debranded with the UK-version and got an update to R2BA020?

I can't find some paid apps in Android Market (Battery Droid Pro p.e.) and can't update to .23 either.

krazi3azn's technique works.. just drop the files in when the download approaches 100%.. i started copying the files over when it was 125.0/125.5mb

Worked for me, too. I copied the first file once the second began downloading, and then copied the larger file when it was about 99% complete. Worked a treat!

Thanks to the OP for information on debranding and to other posters who gave information on how to copy files 1 & 2 after the SEUS update as the original instructions no longer work without the copy trick.

I debranded my X10a Rogers branded to X10a Generic America BR (R1FB001) and I have the "Automatic Internet Settings" disabled. So, I had to manually set the APN for AT&T but the MMS still doesn't work. Anyone know how I can get Automatic Internet Settings Enabled?

Thanks

Anyone debranded to R1FB001 (X10a) and have Automatic Internet Setting 'enabled'? I debranded to this version and I have it disabled and i am not able to use MMS feature on AT&T Network.

I used APN Settings backup app and saved my settings from X10i on which MMS works and tried the restore on X10a and it still doesn't work. .

Any help, PLEASE!!!! If no help, I will have to go to generic North American X10a ****14 version which I don't want to.

Actually, if you go to the AR X10a unbranded version, then you can use SEUS or PC Suite to update to the R2BA020 firmware that most regions have gotten. As of a week or so ago, the Brazilian region still hadn't gotten that update. Therefor, it may be beneficial to switch to the 14 firmware anyway.

@fortissimo

I have exactly that problem. For instance, Astro file manager introduced the paid-for pro version, and I can't see it in the Market, along with a few others (DTG Full Key being another).

Today I used SEUS to do a full factory reset and re-install of 020, as I had just updated OTA when first available, but the problem remains.

Anyone else?

Update

Protected apps appear to be back in the Market. Threads on other boards complaining about this said that Google had to update the authorisation for the new firmware builds, so that the Market would recognise them as such and behave properly. Apps that wouldn't appear yesterday evening are now there - timely.

Cheers.

Hey guys, really excited to try this de-branding process. Just read through the whole thread and I'm about to get started. Since I'm a no0b if anything goes wrong I'll have to edit in this post to let you know and ask questions if necessary.

I got my X10a a few weeks ago and I've since done an update to R2BA020. From what I've read it shouldn't be a problem to update. I'm going to try to update to the R1FB001. Hopefully the phone won't get bricked or I might have to freak out on my bf for convincing me to do it lol

EDIT: So I have tried de-branding with both the R1FB001 and the R1FA014; both times I did multiple restarts/repairs as instructed after following all the steps correctly. Re-named those files and everything... still no luck. Rogers firmware seems to be stuck on my phone Is there any other method I can try? Thanks in advance for your help guys.
