s3 has different type of ambient light sensor since it detects rgb unlike other sensors, so I guess its a software bug..
Yep there are couple of guys who have had pink screen on their s3.

Oh ok I don't have that luckily. Like the Xperia S yellow problem. As for the light sensor the same thing happened with the .GS2 on early release

A couple of sites have written that the automatic screen lighting goes too low for good view. It probably needs an upfate to fix it.

Yeah it's no big deal as I never use auto brightness anyway. As for faulty screens with pink colours mine is fine and I just downloaded the screen tester. All was good. When it showed red and blue my god them colours really looked amazing!!!! All phones will have faulty batches or some problems early on but so far they seem to be minimal on the GS3. Good one Sammy EDIT: One other thing I think Sammy should fix is when you press to unlock the screen there is a slight delay but not that bad.

Guys how does the screen fare in direct sunlight? I had an S2 once and I wasn't all that impressed under such conditions.

Those screen tests are something you guys should avoid cos they make you paranoid

yesterday i purchased GS3 from my friend and i had one X in the store and XS with me. i went ahead and turned full brightness on all phones and set the same picture and compared the screen
do u belive Xperia S looked impressively sharp, bright and saturated. where as GS3 was looked low in brightness and not sharp.
while one X looked bright(but not as XS) but dull and looked so impressive. hands down for XS. even i 30% brightness XS screen very much legible in sunlight. the store keepers amazed with the results...
