looks like it deserve all the high praise as long as it live up to advertised. Hope XZ1P will capture HDR10+ 4K video, and screen will support HDR10+ and DV HDR as well with 12bit color and also offer 1080p 120Hz UI. Next version of Snapdragon should be capable of all of these.

@moogoo I'm getting these for protection. A decent tempered glass screen protector and a clear hard case as I want to show off the colour of the phone.

@XJ - i was thinking of the same but I am concerned the screen protector won't stay on with the case around it. with my XZ i had a full screen protector and a soft gel case. the screen protector was constantly popping off and collecting dust under it to the point where it no longer adhered to the screen. i ended up tossing it cause it just wouldn't stay on. i might end up getting a clear case and roll the dice with the screen. as long as the case has a raised lip around the screen area, it should help keep it from getting damaged..

Well, you gotta make sure to get those "case friendly" protectors, which are no full coverage. They leave a little space for the case.

mnx - as far as i know they don't make screen protectors made specifically for cases like that. they have the standard screen sized ones that will leave a large gap. no thanks! i think i'll just end up getting a hard case and going naked with the screen...
XJ - let me know how your screen protector stays on with the case when you eventually get them.

Just heard from someone semi-insider of Sony that supply of Japanese version of XZP (obviously NTT docomo version) will "extremely tight" and hard to obtain for at least for a month after end of June release.
And for this reason, the pre-order may be delayed until mid June.
He didn't tell me the reason behind it but I'm guessing it's because of well-known S835 shortage.
Not sure how it will be other countries, but be ready
