I wasnt even aware there was such a thing!

Yes, it is entirely written in C++.
Does anyone play the random jungle levels (not the logs or mushroom ones). I just wondered if it was worth keeping those in the game as they are not nearly as pretty as the newer map packs.
Cheers,
Tom

I mostly play soldier ant in the random mode, I find it kind of hard to choose between so many fun maps
I don't see any reason why you shouldn't include the jungle map in the game (or are you trying to get the size of the game down?)
However if you decide to let the jungle map out of the game maybe you can put it on your website as a map pack. this way the buyers of your game can choose to put it on theri phone or not.
Tom, another question. you're planning to port Soldier Ant to ppc. But don't you think that the market for worms-like games on ppc is a bit satisfied with Worms World Party and Snails (altough Soldier Ants is different than both of the former and they all differ) I don't know how hard it is to port an UIQ game to the Microsoft platform or how much time it costs. I know you're not making these games for a living but I don't know if you've thought about it properly? If you're doing this just for fun than you can skip this paragraph.
Cheers.

I mostly play in the random mode also. I like to keep the maps pretty fresh and different everytime I play, it keeps it more interesting if you have to figure things out as you go.

I was thinking of rearranging the maps so that the game comes with the newer better maps and the older ones are installed by a map pack.

It takes about three weeks to port the game to a new platform but about six months to make a new game... so porting them to PPC and Palm makes a lot of sense. There are also far more PPCs out there than UIQ devices.
The next update to the game should come late next week...
Cheers,
Tom

I like the idea of new maps being default and old maps being in map packs. Keeps it fresh and might reduce the isntall size.

Yup there are much more palm and microsoft powered devices than uiq, that's right. Now I understand you

Version 1.27 will be on my website sometime this evening... (it says it is already but I had some problems between updating the site and uploading the new version).
The new version will fix some bugs, give you a new weapon and stop the weapon select window getting in your way.
Cheers,
Tom
