So glad to see that for most of you, even a week in, the shine isn't wearing off, in-fact you're still finding new things to get excited about....
Just thought it might be worth mentioning that I popped into my local, very small CPW this afternoon, and was pleasantly surprised by the size/feel in the hand of the Dummy. Unfortunately they only had one live one and a mehusive Queue, so no play-time to be had. However I was equally pleasantly surprised to see them offering the handset on PAYG for £429.99 + £10 Top-Up. The link below shows this with Orange, and perhaps Goldenface could confirm, that by going this route the handset would be CPW not Orange stock and therefore less heavily branded, as I know this is an issue for some of you.. Also so long as you're happy with Black, it would still be about £50 cheaper than I have seen it Sim-Free anywhere and £60 cheaper than in CPW Sim-Free.

Please has anyone else tried Layar, this is one of the Apps that I am most looking forward too? Also anyone successfully used voice dialling either with the MW600 or any other handsfree, in conjunction with the X10.
Cheers,
Richard

I bought my X10 this way. The phone from CPW on Orange PAYG is totally unbranded - hardware and software. It's the standard SIM-free unlocked package, and the only thing Orange about the deal is the SIM that they pop into the bag with the box. It was the cheapest place I could find it on the high street.

Same here. Absolutely no branding on the Cpw version and it is unlocked. I just put my three sim card in.
Layar is great and the best thing about it is more Layars being added all the time. It really is a great piece of kit. Android is fantastic and is a worlds away from S60.

I don't think this phone is worth bothering with until the update comes out.
The phone is already amazing even without the update. Its definately worth to bother.
I second that, just waiting for the price to go down a bit.
The cheapest I have seen is through The Carphone Warehouse on o2 Pay as you go at £429.99 + £10 top up thats if you want a sim free handset. I'm on o2 anyway but all Carphone Warehouse handsets are sim free as everyone knows.
Whats mad is that o2 shops don't even sell the X10 on pay as you go only The Carphone Warehouse.
What bugs me about Android 1.6 is that the X10 currently won't work with my MBW-100/150 bluetooth watch which I rely on a lot but when the X10 gets the Android 2.1+ update it should work using an application for Android called OpenWatch which is on xda developers if anyone else is interested in this.

You can get almost any mobile on pre pay @ CPWH. I seen the X10 @ Virgin Mobile for £459 with £10 included not a top up

@tranced
where did you see that?
Personally I don't want to wait 3 months. Why should I though? The NA version is available since it's going to Rogers to be sold. There has to be someone out there who's selling it unlocked and unbranded.
3 months is a long time.
