Well thanks guys, that's at least 2 other people who've had the same thing happen... so hopefully that will help
I wouldn't mind so much if it was free, as it is, it's too small an amount to bother trying to chase it with Orange.. as I say it's just that it's causing the missus grief...
Anyone else want to add their testimony of having WAP go off while the phone is in a holster/pocket etc would be gr8...
Thanks. Warren.

=========WARNING============
I had a call on Monday the 27th June from a telesales company offering k700i with the o2 network. It sounded like a good deal but they were calling from somewhere in Asia, I have a terrible credit rating so I went along with the processes of getting one of these phones knowing I'd fail on the credit check. They didn't perform one and DEMANDED my drivers licence number and my passport number. Naturally I refused (after keeping them waiting on the phone for half an hour) As far as I remember, a contract phone doesn't require the passport or drivers licence number.. dodgy? Just a bit, so beware of getting a smilar call...

Certainly sounds suspicious, I wouldnt buy a phone or contract from any cold caller, especially (no disrespect) one from India.
