Exactly what I have done. To be honest I think Expansys will end up being forced to drop their price to match the other suppliers, but I guess they'd like to hold out as long as possible.
I chose to order with mphone as I've had a nightmare with phones2udirect in the past - not only are they almost impossible to actually get hold of, but a little while ago they took over a month to refund me for a SIM free M600i (ordered at the same time as Expansys but Expansys delivered first and because of the difficulty contacting Phones2udirect they didn't get my email or phone messages asking them to cancel the order
).
I tend to think its better to pay a couple of quid more to know at least there is going to be reasonable customer service, and I've seen a few people recomend mphone in the past.

As the saying goes a fool is easily parted with his money.
Sadly there will always be people willing to pay ripoff prices - I know of a couple of people who ordered the TyTN from Expansys despite being available at the time almost £60-70 cheaper elsewhere...

Same here. They must have someone fulltime on P990i cancellations today.

Strangely, that's exactly what they did to me when I emailed them to
confirm my order yesterday... Perhaps I shouldn't have complained so vociferously... :-S

True, however just because you don't care that much about the money, doesn't mean you're a fool.

Right further to my doom and gloom post earlier, been on the phone (to mobileshop), they confirmed their stock was coming in on Monday, I am 64th on the list and they are getting 130, whoo hoo it's nearly here.
As my god-daughter would say 'It's just five sleeps till it's here'.

Just a little update.
finally spoke to a really friendly guy at phones2udirect where my order is placed.
He said stock was due in today but they have been told from their supplier (same supplier as mphone and expansys possibly?) that the shipment is arriving in the country this afternoon and will be forwarded to resellers Friday AM..there is still the likelihood of a delay into next week however
phones2udirect purchasing team were busily trying to get confirmation from the suppliers as i spoke to him.

Just recieved this from the insurance company
"Sony Ericsson never released the P990 phone on to the UK market and it appears they do not intend to release this phone....."
Not happy so I have emailed Sony Ericsson to get confirmation... I don't hold out much hope though....
