@Hoover

Just send the insurance company one or all of the links to the online stores discussed above that sell the P990 in the UK.

finally spoke to a really friendly guy at phones2udirect where my order is placed.

You mean to tell me somebody actually exists at the end of their infinitely long phone queue?

I wouldn't be suprised one bit if Expansys Mphone & Phones2udirect all use the same supplier - afterall there are only two or three big ones out there.

Just a quick thing, was thinking about what happened today in London, i would not be surprised at all if shipment is delayed for another day or so...considering that the airports have almost completely closed down. I assume cargo flights would also be affected as well as commerical

Expansys said yesterday theirs are already in the country with their contractor, presumably for transport to their warehouse.

I'm actually having serious doubts about getting the P990 at all now. I'm so happy with the TyTN that I'm thinking I might just be wasting my money as it sounds like the P990 has similar issues (low usable memory), hangs etc as the M600

I haven't had a single problem with the TyTN since I first started it last night and I've been out connecting to hotspots at lunch time and downloading large files with great speed

I don't want to bring the "TyTN or P990" discussion here but someone remind me why I'm getting a P990 at all?

@Gabster

lets hope the delays only apply to incoming US passenger flights.
What a thought - more delays :0

@masseur, you're not getting the P990 for yourself you're getting for us!

Yes who else can give us an unbiased view of the merits/demerits of the the two devices. The M600 is not close in functionality to the TyTN for a comparison. You know if I did not use my XDA Exec for TomTom I would sell it and buy a.....no you've got me thinking about this TiTan thing...

It is the same old thing isnt it?
I had second thoughts about getting the P990, but the thrill of actualy owning a device all the world has been waiting for is what its all about.

The P990 is almost certain will not live up to expectations and it will probably be inferior to TyTN in many ways.. (returned my TyTN).
THe TyTN is a good product for which only enthusiasts care much about..

But this is a new P series phone..and that alone does draw you..

It is always the same old story. I think we are all trapped into a never ending mobile phone purchasing habit..and an extremely expensive one at that.These things are getting more and more expensive..

I think i will personally take a very long break away from purchasing another moble phone after the P990, for a very long time..

But must have this one!!

@masseur

you have so many phones already, if you were about to get the P990i but are changing your mind, why don't you give the £560 to charity?

this is phone money... I already give useful amounts each year to Cancer research as my wifes father and grandfather both died from cancer

I don't think we need to get into that here though
