Lol, zomg seems to not be very happy with Sony and the C3:

One (crap) Sony.
It's like someone said, selfies are the new hotness, lets release a phone for it, then the beancounters got involved and turned it into a pile of shit. I don't doubt there is a legitimate market for selfie phones out there, but a 5MP camera with no AF and a crap flash is not the world's best and neither does it constitute a serious effort. An otherwise good idea ruined by poor execution or the Sony Way, as I like to call it.
It should have been the same phone but with a 13MP camera on the back and an 8MP camera on the front with AF and a dual LED flash. People take selfies in dark nightclubs more than anywhere else, the weak flash, poor sensor and no AF means it will be useless for it's primary function.
Stupid company with idiotic management. Until they fire the whole management team and the whole product execution team Sony will not succeed. The ideas are right but the execution is dismal."

honestly i agree with every word
there are a lot of amazing ideas inside SONY lap
and those appear is just totally wrong
i fed-up after the changing of design and now , nothing appear on the Firefox & Ubuntu phones rumoured before
where is the GPS charging battery?, etc
SONY really need a help now
i am afraid that VAIO maybe not the last !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

91 million photos taken by android users everyday
31 million of those photos are selfies with duck faces !!
so by now you may reliase the market size Sony is targeting with this phone ..
I wish though this feature carry on in there next flagships ..

I don't see whats wrong as long as the C3 is a decent device for its price. Selfies are the 'in' thing and there are many ppl who buy mid end phones just by some fancy features...it might as well as be "seflies"

Its a mediocre phone for stupid people. I doubt they have the perception to really care about any of the technical details. probably too busy oogling pictures of themselves. Even if the C3 has a poor flash and poor sensor, its not going to be any worse than competing devices at this stage.
Either way, I don't really care much about it.

Does that mean the back has some sort of touch sensitive area? Or is it a hack on measuring proximity, therefore, registering a 'tap' on the rear camera? Perhaps it employs a separate proximity sensor?
