I'm still skeptical about that 4K display. IF it really turns out to be true then big up yourself Sony!

Z5+ 4k panel suppliers are sharp and auo. jdi has yield issues

Well AUO has a 6inch 4k panel, hopefully this can be adapted into a 5.5 inch panel with ease.

Also saw this article, seems AUO will be bringing their 4k products to IFA but will this be production or prototype.

A november launch for the Z5+ with 4K screen seems plausible if AUO can adapt the 6 inch to a 5.5 inch. Don't see any info from Sharp regarding production for their 4k panel, perhaps Sharps did bring production up to this year to compete against AUO? Otherwise if Sharp's panel is only ready for 2016, then AUO might be the only manufacturer for now. While I am sure JDI is more than capable of production a 5.5 4k screen, announcing it at IFA for production later this year, while not impossible, doesn't seem likely from JDI.

If Sony pulls off a 4k mobile phone, wonder how many other firms will jump the bandwagon from 2k to 4k next year? Specifically Apple who love to be the first at everything.

@ascariss
Maybe sony made a secret deal with them. Imo Samsung should have 4k panel ready for note 6 as it was already reported last year that they are working on one.

I believe the samsung would be an amoled, not sure what size, maybe 5.7 like the current note or maybe even 6. But it seems another company has beat samsung to the game, Everdisplay showed off the world's first 4k amoled screen at 6 inches.

http://phandroid.com/2015/08/07/4k-amoled-display/

I'll be honest, I have never heard of Everdisplay, checking their site shows that they produce 5, 5.5 and 6 inch HD amoled screens, so jumping from HD all the way to 4k seems crazy.

Wonder if samsung will show off any 4k mobile screens at IFA or safe such tech for a display trade show.

She said "Sony never include OIS into this phone as well. Its a no-brainer, as past phones also did not include OIS. "

But I prefer witout OIS as Sony did better with their own stabilizing technology.

ois helps to low light photos also , it will go higher iso that causes more noise and ois doesnt mean sony wouldnt use software stabilization.i hope z5c and z5p will have ois at least.

evleaks said something about ois, and other sources said only compact version would suport it (i highly doubt).
but well, if it doesnt come with ois, at least it has a f1.8, 6 element lens, PDAF, big sensor and suposedly imx3xx line. it seems to good to be true actually.

The only negative part about OIS is imo the wobbling effect which sometimes occurs in videos. Beside that I can't see anything negative about OIS but just positive effects like improved low light photos which blackzeros already mentioned.
Since all major OEM's are implementing OIS (even the chinese) I wonder why Sony doesn't.
