it works only for certain scenes not all.
it works for twilight landscape, landscape and beach/snow scenes.
there's no problem so try this out.

Got 3 branded K800 back from repair centre, but they have loaded the generic firmware, not the 3 firmware, which means that I am not able to connect to the 3 web pages.
Does any one know a way around this. Sony and 3 said it is not possible

Indeed, R1KG rocks. The most sattisfying thing is they decide to make the speaker phone louder when playing mp3 file. Also minor thing like occasional "Inactive SIM card' and other bug has dissaper.

Is the firmware same for 800i & 790i?
I have upgraded from R1GB001 to R1KG001 on my K 790i.
Since then, I noticed a welcome change in the camera performance; the autofocus system focusses quicker & more accurately and the pictures are much sharper. However, in lowlight, they are more noisy than earlier. It appears they have modified the noise reduction in the software. Also, the color of the date & time imprint on the pictures has changed to red from green earlier.
Has this been noticed by any user of K790i?
I am posting in this topic concerned with K800 because I am using the same f/w R1KG001.

the same happens with k750/w700. both have the same firmware. but you cant flash a k750 with a w700's firmware though they are R1CA021
