whatever zackbuks (he's a pretty trustworthy source i believe) talked about phonearena news and said pyshical screen isnt 2k , but software run at 2k and 1080p?, he also said same thing before(4k screen 2k software render).

I think what he meant is that he thinks a 4K screen with 1080p render is more likely from a technical point view... as if you have 1080p source and you want it on a 4K screen then you can make each pixel from the source as 2x2 pixels (4 pixels) in the 4K... as a 4K (3840 × 2160) is exactly 4x 1080p res.
but a QHD source which is not 2K source but 2.5K will be awkward to display on 4K as each pixel in the source will be rendered in 1.5 x 1.5 pixels in 4k display...

Why should they let Samsung or chinese brands to lead with specs? If they want to be more popular they have to be first with new technologies, even if they are pointless, like 4k res. People like to have and buy something that they can brag around as being best and first.
