SE applies the same Firmware naming (coding) for all phones with the same platform. Remember, K800i, K790i, K810i, W850i, W830i, K610i, W880i, W610i and K550i once got R1KG001.

How come that latest FW for K800 is R1KG001 and K810 recieved R6BC002?

It's simply..SE hadn't update K800's firmware yet.Both phones are the same both in software and hardware(except minor changes in K810,such as leds in the A-B buttons).SE will probably release R6BC002 for the K800 also!But this isn't 100% sure!

It's a matter of life cycle I think. K800 along with W850, K790 and K610 is considered older phone. It is already 'replaced' by K810. That's why, improvements are made only to the successor, whose life time is just fresh from the oven...it's the same story as K750 as K800 comes out.

maybe, maybe not!
remember R6BC came from wotanserver, not SE. will SE release new firmware updates?! of course, K810 is a newcomer, and also they also consider its little brother (K800). updates would still come out.
There are still bugs from K810 especially when playing 3d java games. sometimes reboots itself while playing the game. possible RAM outage? we dont know. i hope someone that has experienced this also may shed light to this dilemma.
anyone?!

Looks like something wrong happen during the update as I have not seen any of your problem. Just bring it back to SE service centre or use wotanserver to completely reflash it.

@decay_zeit
Your phone is damaged. It's not the latest R1KG001 firmware fault. It's a failed update process I'm afraid, so only parts of the firmware were installed there. WotanServer can fix it. Good luck.

Updated my K800 yesterday to KG001 via SEUS, and everything works fine (not for the moment I hope!). Just noticed that I have earned 2MB more free space in the phone's memory. Seems like the KG takes less space in it! Cool!
But it seems I'm just one of the lucky ones, since all I can see in the forum the last weeks is problems after flashing the new FW...
