@theos

Don't know what happened to him but that last post spoke volumes.

Anyway, whenever I look at the task manager there seems to be tasks running that I hadn't started, like Moxier Mail, and I have to keep checking to see how many apps have started.

Some, like BBC News online, update when idle which is why they appear in the manager, even though I didn't start it, but others seem to appear in the manager for no reason.

Anyone else noticing this?

Has any one noticed that the 3G icon does not change to H to indicate HSDPA where as the HERO Running 1.5 does and The Galaxy Spica I5700 running 2.1 Does

I notice this too, the icon doesn't change to H and only stay at 3g. Is it firmware related ?

@sealover, get your fact right first. X10 support multitasking. Don't talk about something that you don't know.

I think only iphone can't do multitasking. Maybe apple are to scared to do this as it might make the phone sluggish.

Guys I just probably quit SE.
I don't believe in this company anymore, sorry.
What they did to X2 is a disaster
Be careful. This may happen again to other "smartphones" by
Disaster.

@^^^
Ive owned mine for over a week. I have the black and got the white for my wife. Ive owned every hot phone to hit the market since back in the SE P800 days. I currently still own my Nexus. The X10 is a solid device, actually one of SE best, and I know we all have felt we've been shafted by SE before but serious the X 10 isnt as bad as everyone makes it out. Its a sweet ass device!! I went thru the P990 debacle and i get it, some of us still hold a grudge against Sony. but serious the X 10 isnt as bad as every makes it out. Im on my third nexus...ive had the dust, the 3g hang up, the touch screen inconsistencies yet i still tolerate it. My SE X1 had the hairline cracks the resistive screen yet it still was a solid device. My HD and HD2 had its WM bugs but guess what, i love both them damn phones. I just think people complain too much and love to hate something and the X10 is one of them. People gonna hate Sony for whatever they do. For the time being, im enjoying the X10 imma let the haters hate and keep talking whats coming out in the future. Im enjoying now. And when that stuff finally comes out.. will get that too.

Thanks tranced.

Baseband 1.0.16
Build No RIFA016

I updated over the weekend to ...16 and it certainly better on the battery, I was finding the battery was being very erratic on ....14, would last about 6 hours standby and be totally drained.

How did you manage this update? I still have the BaseBand 1.0.14 version showing (X10 from Orange but unbranded) and I have updated the software through SEUS even though it said I didn't need to and it came back with the same software again, BaseBand 1.0.14. Help..... My Battery does seem a little..... Short Lived !!

I've been looking for a case to and the PDair cases look good. I'll check out the Krussell ones too though.

@woz2010

The phone came with baseband 016 and R1FA016 but when I connected to PC Companion it told me an update was available. So I updated but it ended up with the same.

I cant access the net with any of the preinstalled apps, whereas browsing is pretty fast. Timescape gives an error when I try to connect to fb/twitter. It is so damn irritating.What can be the solution?
